Sprinkle the herb and spice mix royal over a whole chicken. Grab a can of 330ml beer and pour about 1/3 of it so that the beer does not boil over. Place the chicken cavity over the tin and place the chicken on a medium hot barbecue (180 ͦC-200 ͦC). Close the lid and grill for about 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the chicken. The chicken is cooked when the meat easily comes off the bone.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid using above a steaming pan.
